“3 Dreams of Black” is an interactive film by Chris Milk for Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s ROME album.
Chris Milk was also the director behind Arcade Fire’s amazing Chrome-experiment-music-video “Wilderness”.
For “3 Dreams of Black” Milk used WebGL technology which brings hardware-accelerated graphics to the browser, without the need for additional software. Chrome is one browser that supports WebGL.
You can read more about it on Google’s blog: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/3d-dreams-in-modern-browser.html
And can view and experience the video here: http://www.ro.me
More great examples of the in-browser 3D capabilities of WebGL are located here: http://www.ro.me/tech/

Typing Skills + Shooting = Fun
I kept waiting for subliminal messages to come through in the words which fell down.
This would be a lot harder if the words were all captcha codes. That would be challenging, but would it be as fun?

A Miami ad school concept campaign lets you play Russian roulette with your Facebook account.
Sort of a reverse Whopper Sacrifice for higher stakes. Interesting strategy capitalizing on the growing importance of one’s virtual life.
You have to wonder though, if this was a real concept how would it be spread if it keeps zapping people’s profiles, the very place where their friends would learn about it? :)

So cool. Select the continents that you might want to see, hit Teleport, and you’re immediately in the middle of nowhere, Africa, or in a random location in Japan.

Ogilvy & Mather, Colombia, created a live interactive experience to promote the game of Pictionary.
People stepped into a free photobooth set up in a mall, took “pictures”, and 10 seconds later, received cartoons of themselves as scribbled by a hidden cartoonist.
A clever immersive idea to promote a fun product.
