Another installation-related piece, this kinetic sculpture from the BMW museum uses computer-programmed metal balls on strings to create 3D visuals.
In some ways it reminds me of this water fountain sculpture from Japan — they’re both unusual ways to show 2D and 3D images in a 3D space.
