This is quite a neat approach to real time tracking. It could make for some very cool infographics as well.

Some great mobile stats:

This is a cool info graph, but one stat has actually changed. Android is the #1 OS as of February this year (whoot):

Mobile internet will pass desktop in a hot minute

This is the current Android fragmentation (right now building to 2.0 and higher is the norm):

Also don’t forget that there is iOS fragmentation, so you need to test on devices that have not been updated to the latest OS.

Android is making a KILLING:

NFC is coming to a phone near you real soon… (better than RFID because it communicates both ways, not just a reader):

Mint.com Reveals User Spending Trends

September 30th, 2009  |  Friends  |  Categories: Data Visualization, Inspiration, Online  |  Tags: , , , ,  |

Mint.com, the popular digital banking platform that makes understanding savings simple is now mining information from its user base and releasing infographics about spending behavior. This new “Trends” section sheds light into spending habits and how they’re transforming in this fickle economy.

What makes this development so interesting is the openess with which Mint.com is releasing this information. Further, as constant GPS becomes ubiquitous across (smart)phones, Mint.com is poised to collect very interesting localized spending habits via its popular iPhone App.
