Google has launched a new search option built around what you love/like. Type in what you love, and it collects results for more than 20 different types of Google search/products in one page. Kind of fun. Not quite sure what the long term benefit is, but in terms of getting an fast overview on a topic or brand it could be useful.

BlaBla, a “film for computer” by Vincent Morisset explores human communication in six interactive chapters.

A user’s experience of the film depends entirely on how he/she moves through it, clicking, scrolling and dragging to produce playful sounds and whimsical scenes made with 2D drawing, real-time 3D mapping and puppet stop-motion animation.

Longtail Video Debuts HTML5 Video Player

Longtail  Video, provider of the JW Player, one of the most popular video players, has recently released an HTML 5 version. Browser support is limited to Safari, iPhone, iPad and Chrome. Firefox, IE and Opera will fallback to Flash.

Longtail joins several other companies who have already adapted players for HTML, including Jilion (Sublime Video) and VideoJS.

The Google Job Experiment

In a tough economy teeming with hungry, creative workers, Alec Brownstein found a novel way to differentiate himself from the competition:

Brownstein bought Google adwords for the names of industry bigwigs like David Droga, Tony Granger and Ian Reichenthal.

When each creative director did a “vanity google” of their own name, an ad appeared in which Brownstein asked each exec for a job. The result? After investing a total of $6, Brownstein is now working for Y&R .
