Useful AR

Rayban did a ‘virtual mirror’ promo using AR a while back, but here are some more examples of AR being used for products/retail/in-store and online.
While this won’t completely replace the need go into a store (you still want to see how it feels ‘on’), it’s still a useful way for brands to:
- better integrate retail + in-store + online experiences
- cross sell products
- deliver product content. For e.g All the info on the tag or label could appear on the screen as your trying it on.
- lets you ‘try’ and ‘buy’ from your own home…all you need is a mirror and a camera!

Adidas did this retail concept in-store 2 years ago – using a configurator, lasers, infra-red, gesture tracking, 3D and RFID.
